Brexit secretary Dominic Raab raises no-deal fears as he attacks EU’s negotiating stance

Brexit secretary Dominic Raab has warned Brussels that its “deliberately intransigent” approach to the Brexit talks has increased the risk of the UK crashing out without a deal.

As negotiations with the European Union enter their frantic final phase, Mr Raab urged MPs to back the prime minister’s plan, rather than seeking to “wreck that deal” by voting it down.

It comes after Theresa May won space to press on with her Brexit approach after a key meeting with her warring backbenchers turned from a “show trial” to a “love in”, despite mounting speculation that Tory MPs were gearing up to trigger a leadership contest.
